Children's shoesCCA Mission Statement

Christian Community Aid takes a holistic approach, providing local services that address the needs of people in the community.

In relation to Child and Family services:

We believe that children have the right to experience safe, nurturing and welcoming environments.

We believe that children learn and develop best when given opportunities to engage in challenging and stimulating natural play environments that encourage open ended interactions, risk taking, exploration and discovery.

We believe that childhood is a magical time in a person’s life and play is the best way of learning in the early years.

We value children as unique, strong and capable individuals and hold high expectations for their ability to learn and develop. We respect their right to participate in decisions that affect them.

We cherish the community in which we operate and look for opportunities to connect.

We believe in the importance of equity, inclusion and diversity. We value partnerships with children, families, Educators and staff and recognise that diverse ideas, cultures and abilities enrich our service.

We are committed to upholding the ethos of Christian Community Aid Service Inc in relation to the wider community.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Australians and are committed to developing awareness of indigenous culture.

We are committed to working together as a team. All staff and Educators value and respect one another and the contributions they make to create a cohesive workplace. We foster a culture of reflective practice and ongoing learning by continually seeking ways to build on our professional knowledge.

We aim to build connections to the natural environment and encourage our children, families, Educators and staff to respect the earth and reduce our impact on it.

CCA acknowledges the Wallumedegal people, the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which our premises stand.
