Christian Community Aid takes a holistic approach, providing local services that address the needs of people in the community.
In relation to Child and Family services:
We believe in protecting children’s rights. Children have the right to participate in decisions that affect them and to experience welcoming, nurturing and safe environments.
We support research which shows that children learn and develop best when given opportunities to engage in challenging and stimulating natural play environments that encourage open ended interactions, risk taking, exploration and discovery.
We believe in participating in our local community and aim to seek out ways for our organisation to develop community partnerships and to contribute to local events and activities.
We believe in the importance of equity, inclusion and diversity. We value partnerships with children, families, Educators and staff and recognise that diverse ideas, cultures, values and abilities enrich our service.
We believe in offering assistance to families in the community in unique circumstances and are committed to upholding the ethos of Christian Community Aid Service Inc in relation to the wider community.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Australians and are committed to developing awareness of indigenous culture.
We are committed to working together as a team. All staff and Educators value and respect one another and the contributions they make to create a cohesive workplace. We foster a culture of reflective practice and ongoing learning by continually seeking ways to build on our professional knowledge.
We understand that we must be proactive in our approach to environmental sustainability. We will encourage children, families, Educators and staff to respect the earth and reduce their impact on the environment.
CCA acknowledges the Wallumedegal people, the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which our premises stand.
